US Webinar - New Developments in Testing Standards

This webinar outlines some recent and potential upcoming changes in major international weathering and corrosion test standards to keep you up-to-date on all the latest developments. Join Q-Lab on Thursday, 12 June at 8 am or 11 am EDT for a review of what's new.

Test standards are used almost universally in weathering and corrosion testing. Laboratories want to ensure that their test results are comparable to historical and competitive data; to accomplish this, a range of ISO, ASTM, SAE, GB, and manufacturer standards are used to standardize test evaluation criteria across laboratories and test instruments. Many of these standards have existed for decades, but major test standards are constantly being reevaluated and revised by committees comprising international experts.

This webinar explains some recent and potential upcoming changes in major weathering and corrosion test standards, including:

  • UV fluorescent: ASTM G154, ISO 4892-3, and SAE J2020
  • Xenon arc: SAE J2412 and J2527, ISO 105-B04
  • UVC: ASTM G224 and IEC 60068-2-87
  • Corrosion: ISO 9227 and 12944-6
  • A variety of other test protocols describing water delivery, laboratory practices, and more

In addition, we'll present some of the free resources available from Q-Lab and standards organizations to help you navigate testing standards.
