Shipping & Receiving Associate

Q-Lab Corporation is currently seeking a Shipping & Receiving Associate. Reporting to the Inventory Control Manager, the primary responsibility will be receiving of incoming materials and assisting with the shipment of outgoing materials.
 

Responsibilities:

• Ship product/packages using UPS Worldship, FedEx Ship Manager, and other shipping software. 
• Select and ship orders using proper packaging and material banding equipment. Includes palletizing oversized and heavy items.
• Stage finished capital equipment and parts for future shipments in an organized manner.
• Complete all necessary shipping documents accurately and timely in conjunction with the Order Desk.
• Ensure that all shipments are arranged accurately (Item nr., qty, shipping method, “ship to” location, etc.)
• Track transactions and documents in our shipping system.  
• Load expensive capital equipment on trucks using motorized fork lift (LTL, OTR and Containers).
• Promptly unloads trucks and deliveries and sorts and stocks receivables.
• Handles the receipt of all products, materials, and supplies.
• Inspects deliveries to ensure they match purchase order requirements.
• Processes return shipments for incorrect or unacceptable items.
• Engages with suppliers and drivers with a positive attitude.
• Organizing and storing received items in appropriate areas.
• Participate in the preparation and taking of physical inventory.
• Ability to work overtime as needed to support production and facility needs.
• Preform other related duties as assigned
   

Required Skills:

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience operating a motorized fork lift
• Experience working with UPS and FedEx a plus
• Previous warehouse experience
• Willing to work overtime as needed (including weekends)
• Ability to lift 70 lbs.
