Posted: 7/1/2020

Q-Lab Corporation, a global leader in accelerated weathering test equipment and test services, is proud to announce the launch of new Q-SUN® “E” model xenon test chambers and Gen-4 QUV® accelerated weathering testers.

The new Q-SUN “E” model xenon test chambers allow users to test at higher irradiance and/or longer lamp lifetimes - up to 3000 hours at standard irradiances and 1000 hours at high irradiances - through the use of new “plus” lamps.

Both “E” model Q-SUN and Gen-4 QUV test chambers now feature dual, full-color touchscreen displays in 8 languages, including Japanese, Chinese, and Korean, with more languages coming soon. Other new features include a multi-color status LED for enhanced message notifications at a glance, direct compatibility with Universal Calibrator temperature and irradiance smart-sensors, wireless black panel sensors, and improved styling with new silver paint.

Q-SUN testers are the simplest, most reliable, and easiest-to-use xenon arc chambers available. Q-SUN testers can be configured to meet all major test standards, including ISO 4892-2, ASTM G155, ASTM D7869, SAE J2527, and SAE J2412. The QUV accelerated weathering tester is The World’s Most Widely Used Weathering Tester™ and is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2020. QUV fluorescent lamps are available to perform major test standards including ISO 4892-3, ASTM G154, and SAE J2020, and EN 927-6.
