We are seeking a day shift Maintenance Electrician to install and maintain machinery, fixtures, and utilities and maintain and repair building electrical systems.

Job Responsibilities include:

Repair & Tester Support Technician (Westlake, Ohio)

 We have a current opening for a Repair & Tester Support Technician to provide primary repair support to customers in person or by telephone and/or email.  Must demonstrate the ability to commission, repair, calibrate, and adjusts accelerated weather test instruments and test equipment,


Job Requirements Include: 

  • Listen to customer description of the problem they are having and asks appropriate question’s to determine the root cause of the problem.
  • Provide the customer with recommendation to resolve the issue and or follows up with on-going issues with the customer. This may include, but is not limited to; suggesting a change in the way the customer operates the equipment including good testing practices, sending replacement parts, referring the call to the Field Repair Technician for an on-site resolution.
  • Record contact with customer in a Contact Resource Management system to include the nature of the problem, corrective action, and follow up activities to ensure resolution
  • Investigate quality and/or design issues and makes recommendations to the appropriate department for resolution.
  • Read instrument dial or scope, or observes viewing screen, that indicates resistance, capacitance, continuity, or wave pattern and recognize defects, such as short circuit or current leakage.
  • Record and communicate type and quantity of defect to engineering for investigation and corrective action purposes.
  • Diagnose malfunctioning instruments or test equipment and examines and test mechanisms and circuitry for failure mode.
  • Replace or repair defective parts according to OEM specifications.
  • Repair instrument or test equipment, and test assembly for conformance to in accordance to OEM specifications.
  • Inspect instruments and test equipment periodically and adjust calibration to ensure functioning within specified standards.
  • Calibrate instruments or test equipment according to established standards.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualification Include:

  • High School Diploma and an Associate's degree in Applied Science (AAS) in Engineering Technology, Electronics or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or a minimum of  two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • All technicians must be able to travel by car, train, and airplane domestically and internationally up to 25% - 50% of the time annually.  Must have a clean driving record and have no driving restrictions for health and safety reasons
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

You will be involved in business analysis and requirements definition, software development, and project management. It’s common to lend your opinions to the CFO and VP of Marketing one day, only to be coding the solution in SQL and .NET the following day.
