Manufacturing Support Specialist

Q-Lab Corporation is currently seeking a Manufacturing Support Specialist. Reporting to the Inventory Control Manager, this position will be responsible for accurately picking and staging materials to support manufacturing of complex capital equipment builds based on a production or work order schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick and stage materials to support manufacturing of complex capital equipment builds based on a production or work order schedule.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials and parts required for manufacturing processes using Kanban, and physical re-order point replenishment methods.
- Maintain stock levels of bulk items and request orders to be placed once minimum stock levels are met.
- Initiate communications on stock-outs; accurately link item(s) to customer orders (if applicable), and collaborate with procurement to expedite replenishment.
- Maintain stock accuracy by investigating discrepancies between physical counts and system records, reporting issues to the Inventory Control Manager, and recommending corrective actions as necessary.
- Put inventory away in the proper stocking location following production completion, ensuring proper organization and documentation.
- Submit and track work orders for replacement part kits and sub-assemblies to maintain uninterrupted production flow.
Utilize systems to generate pick sheets and perform inventory transactions as required. - Serve as a liaison between the warehouse, manufacturing, procurement, and other departments to resolve inventory and material needs.
- Implement ECN changes at stocking locations whenever revisions occur, items are discontinued, or existing items are used until replaced by new ones.
- Proactively communicate status updates, delays, or issues affecting production schedules via computer-based tools.
- Participate in physical inventories and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and proper stock levels.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace to comply with safety and operational standards.
- Operate equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks to move and organize inventory.
- Sort, package, and/or crate parts for shipment
Required Skills/Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficient in using software applications
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Basic math skills
Desired Skills:
- Forklift Experience/Training
- Mechanical assembly skills
