US Webinar - TUV Lamps

Join Q-Lab experts for an exciting two-part webinar series on Q-Lab's new products! Part one will be held on Thursday, 24 April and will introduce our new TUV-421 lamps. Sign-up for 8 am EDT or 11 am EDT.

UVA-340 Fluorescent UV lamps are widely used in QUV accelerated weathering testers to simulate the effects of real-world moisture and shortwave UV light (295 – 360 nm). However, it can sometimes be difficult to correlate laboratory and outdoor degradation of materials whose color properties are sensitive to long-wave UV light (360 – 400 nm).

In this webinar, we present a new type of Fluorescent UV lamp, the TUV-421, that delivers a broader light spectrum, from 295 - 450 nm. This new lamp offers the same excellent shortwave spectrum as traditional fluorescent lamps while better reproducing the longer wavelengths that may cause degradation of colorants in paints, plastics, printed materials, and textiles. This new technology combines the ease of use and realistic moisture attack of QUV testing with the broader radiant spectrum of xenon arc testing.

We will present the key aspects of the new TUV-421 lamps, which are compatible with all QUV accelerated weathering testers in the field. The webinar will also feature two case studies showing that TUV-421 results for commercial paints and photo prints match well the results obtained for full-spectrum xenon exposures.
