Acceptance Testing Technician

We are looking for a Testing Technician. This position will perform the Acceptance Testing process to verify Testers were assembled correctly and will perform as intended. Troubleshoot and repair any issues encountered during the process and document NCE’s to continuously improve quality and reliability.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Perform Acceptance Testing process approved by Product Engineer
- Duties involve working from test procedures, specifications, mechanical and electrical diagrams and schematics
- Prepare Testers for startup and test
- Finish any wiring or assembly operations necessary before connecting power and water lines
- Check manual operations and safety devices
- Check for leaks and make necessary repairs
- Check for wiring errors and make necessary repairs
- Check for proper components, tags, and programming of Tester
- Calibrate Testers to Q-Lab’s standards and preprogram customer’s cycles. Verify Testers are capable of performing cycles
- Purge Tester of any accumulated water, bleed air / water lines, and remove any materials used during the testing process
- Assign Tester serial numbers, review order documents, verify all line items on the Sales Order are complete
- Document any unusual conditions and non-conformances encountered
- Summarize and report issues encountered to Assembly, Quality, and R&D personnel
- Ensure Acceptance Testing process is completed in a timely manner in order to maintain workflow and meet required ship dates
- The Acceptance Testing Team will need to adopt a flexible work schedule to avoid production bottlenecks
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to improve quality & reliability.
- Participate on continuous improvement teams
- Maintain equipment used and work area in a clean and orderly condition
- Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations
- Perform other department related duties as required, assigned or directed
We Require:
- Advanced mechanical and electrical skills
- Functional understanding of the Testers and how the various subsystems relate
- Ability to read and interpret engineering documents
- Basic math skills. Basic Statistical skills (e.g. – averages, min value, max value, etc.)
- Capability to perform mechanical and electrical assemblies
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years assembly background experience in mechanical and/or electrical assemblies and controls or equivalent
- Use a variety of measuring instruments and gauges such as dial indicators, feeler gauges, pressure gauges, level, tape measure and volt meter, miscellaneous hand tools
- Successfully meet all training requirements (e.g. – IPC/WHMA standards)
- Working knowledge of basic computer functions and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Good communication skills – ability to communicate findings both verbally and written to Assembly, Quality Control, and R&D Personnel
- Must be able to communicate with Assembly Personnel in a constructive manner
