Engineering and Quality Coordinator

Q-Lab Corporation is currently seeking an Engineering and Quality Coordinator in Westlake, OH. Reporting to the Engineering Implementation Manager, this role will be responsible for coordinating logistics for implementing engineering changes, processing of quality deviation requests, and assisting with root cause analysis project documentation and organization.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate logistics for implementing Engineering Changes including: validating affected parts lists, reviewing affected parts for accurate changes, coordinating disposition of stock, and coordinating material readiness dates and implementation timelines.
• Support cross-functional collaboration with departments such as Engineering, Purchasing, Fabrication, Production, and Order Desk for seamless project implementation.
• Facilitate BOM activity updates, including changes to revision levels and released documentation.
• Upload Supplier First Article Inspection Reports to engineering documentation system.
• Process Quality Deviation requests including: validation of proposed deviations, determination of cause (need for deviation), and preventative actions.
• Generate and prepare monthly quality and reliability reports.
• Assist with Root Cause Analysis project documentation and organization (organizing records, gathering incident reports, and tracking action items).

Required Skills/Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing supply chain or engineering support role with a focus on quality, BOM management and/or logistical coordination.
• Ability to gather and compile large amounts of data into routine reports effectively, efficiently, and error-free.
• Demonstrated experience visualizing, developing, and communicating timelines for complex project implementation.
• Expert proficiency with Microsoft Office Products, specifically Excel.

Desired Skills/Experience:

• Associates degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field.
• Familiarity with Engineering Change workflows.
• Familiarity with quality control standards and practices.
• Proficiency in ERP and MRP systems.
• Understanding of lean principles and an eye for spotting inefficiencies.
