We are currently seeking a Field and Facilities Manager. This position is responsible for all field exposures at the Homestead, Florida site, including supervision of field personnel involved with exposures.

This role is fully onsite and involves significant time with outdoor work.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise all daily activities of the facilities, maintenance and field staff
  • Ensure that the daily work tasks are completed efficiently
  • Control field capacity and coordinate ordering of new exposure fixtures
  • Arrange space consolidation and field layout — consolidate similar exposure types, same customer, etc. and to conserve space
  • Coordinate rack maintenance and necessary replacement

Requirements:

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Troubleshooting malfunctioning lab instruments or test equipment and test mechanical mechanisms and electronic circuitry for “root cause” failures.
  • Perform hands-on repair for malfunctioning lab instruments or test equipment, and tests assembly for conformance, in accordance to manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Willing and able to travel domestically, with some international travel, 50% of the time annually, to provide repair support to our Customers. This will include being away for up to a full week at a time as and when required
  • Provide the customer with phone and email recommendations to resolve lab instrument issues and or follow up with on-going issues with the customer. This may include, but is not limited to; sending replacement parts, referring the information to the main home office for further guidance, or performing an on-site resolution.

Requirements:

  • Recognized Electrical or Mechanical Qualification with apprenticeship and 5 years work experience
  • Work experience with technical equipment preferably in a laboratory setting

About the Role:
We are looking for a support developer to join our nimble, experienced, & effective team. At Q-Lab, our Business Systems group is responsible for supporting key enterprise software systems, such as: ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), CRM (Client Relationship Management), Q-Portal (customer web portal), and LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System). You will be responsible for enhancing these systems, fixing bugs, interfacing with end users, and providing general overall programmatic support.

We cross train our developers on all platforms, tools, languages, and systems. Q-Lab’s developers regularly comment on how fun and challenging it is to support such a broad scope of business systems. Our ultimate goal is to apply technology in ways that increase revenue, decrease costs, and/or increase customer satisfaction.
