About the Role: Reporting to the Director, Q-PANEL/Manufacturing Engineering, the primary responsibility will be to develop and implement solutions to our manufacturing-related problems. This position will support our facility by using creative problem solving to continuously improve the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities:

• Design, manage, and implement new machinery, tooling, and electro-mechanical test fixtures to support production of Q-Lab products and services
• Identify and implement new technology, capital equipment, processes, and methods to improve manufacturing efficiency and ergonomics
• Create and maintain production work instructions
• Project Management for manufacturing initiatives
• Create and maintain engineering documentation for Manufacturing using CAD

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
• 5+ years of work experience in a manufacturing environment, designing, managing, and implementing new machinery, tooling, and electro-mechanical test fixtures
• Highly proficient with 3D CAD (Inventor, SolidWorks, etc.)
• Basic understanding of industrial electronics and electrical controls/systems

Experience with:

• structural framework and weld design
• sheet metal fabrication design
• Lean methodology

• Excellent project management skills
• Rational problem solver, excellent critical thinking skills
• Process oriented; has a desire to create and improve processes
• Strong collaboration skills, and a cross-functional team player
